Abstract


This study investigated the relationship between perceived organizational politics, perceived organizational support and counterproductive work behavior among Vandeikya Local Government Staff. The study adopted survey research design. A total of 400 participants completed their questionnaires and returned to the researcher. The participants comprises of male 309(76.5) and female 9(23.5) the sampling technique used was Taro Yamane sampling technique. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using Pearson r correction for hypothesis one and two and the third hypothesis linear regression was used to test it. Research hypotheses were tested at alpha level of 0.05. The results of the analyses revealed that perceived organizational politics does not significantly related to counterproductive work behavior.The second hypothesis results of the analyses revealed that perceived organizational support does not significantly related to counterproductive work. The third hypothesis also revealed that joint influence of organizational politics and organization support does not significantly relate to counterproductive work behavior. Recommendation and suggestion for further researches were made based on the findings.
